FIG TREE GIVES AGAIN

Fig Tree To Give Again

High high up in the sky

sits a flash of a silvery moon

seen through the boughs 

of morning's wind-swept fig tree.

Anxiously I await the new month

one week before Rosh Chodesh,

for my beloved leafless fig 

will again be joyously pruned 

and branches of life's potential are shared 

on Tu B'Shvat.
